Overview

Overview

The Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger provides businesses and public organizations with the data to power effective event monitoring and early warning, as well as long-term network, environmental and climate monitoring, analysis, forecasting and planning.

Working as the front end of a Smart Monitoring system, the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger is a “sensor agnostic” data logger that can be paired with a range of sensors to monitor and measure a variety of hydrometric, environmental and climate metrics even in remote and hostile environments.

Either as a single unit or as part of a larger network the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger transmits data automatically to cloud-based servers or to an existing SCADA system for continuous monitoring of remote resources, storage facilities, processes or operations, providing technicians, engineers and emergency responders with data and alarms to help them plan, act and react quickly and effectively.

Capturing data continuously at intervals as low as 10 seconds, the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger may be combined with a telemetry system to provide real-time event monitoring and early warning of flood and other environmental events, and its impressive battery lifetimes enable it to be combined with a database to deliver the long-term monitoring, forecasting and big data analysis necessary for meaningful planning, purchasing and asset management decisions.

Typical sensors

  • Depth level pressure sensors
  • Radar level sensors
  • ADCP sensors
  • Ultrasonic flow meters
  • Rain gauges, wind and weather sensors
  • Water quality probes (pH, turbidity, DO)
  • Temperature sensors

Applications

As the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger is “sensor-agnostic” it can be used to collect data for a broad range of purposes. These include flood early warning, climate monitoring, environmental data logging, industrial pollution discharge monitoring and many more.

Get flexible with your data collection

Designed to work with a range of sensors, the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger provides the brains—all you need to do is to plug in the sensor. Whether you want to monitor water level, flow, rainfall, turbidity or other elements, the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger gives you the freedom to collect whatever data you need. Act, react and make informed decisions

As the front end of a Smart Monitoring system, the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger provides the raw materials that power telemetry systems and databases. With automatic, remote data transmission it enables you to monitor and react to environmental events in real time, and with data collection at intervals ranging from 10 seconds to 12 hours it provides analysts with big data to support effective planning, purchasing and asset management decisions.

Cut your data logger operation costs

Data loggers often need to be installed in remote, harsh or difficult-to-access locations such as boreholes, rivers and manhole chambers, and regular battery replacement increases the cost of maintenance and operation. With battery lifetimes of up to seven years, the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger keeps operating for longer—cutting maintenance requirements, enabling you to focus your support teams on other activities and reducing carbon footprint.

How it works

How it works

  1. An application-appropriate sensor is selected and fitted to the Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger.

  2. Following a site and installation assessment the data logger—or network of loggers—is installed on site. Typical installations might include inside drains and culverts, mounted on a pole, inside a borehole or well, or at the side of a lake, river or reservoir.

  3. The logger is calibrated and set to log data according to application-specific requirements. The Hydro-Logic™ Flexi Logger can conduct regular data logging at intervals from as low as 10 seconds and as high as 12 hours.

  4. The data logger collects data autonomously and either transmits it automatically to a telemetry system, or houses it until support personnel return to manually download the data.
