MaxWell
Get stormwater pre-treatment, deep infiltration and groundwater recharge in a single high-performance system.
MaxWell™ is a small-footprint deep infiltration and groundwater recharge system that enables engineers to manage high volumes of surface water effortlessly to deliver highly effective and efficient aquifer replenishment.
With a storage volume of up to 9,400 L the system provides the capacity to accommodate more frequent and more extreme weather events, and with the capability to reach depths as low as 36 m it will recharge deep aquifers to preserve and improve water availability.
MaxWell™ is a small-footprint deep infiltration and groundwater recharge system that enables engineers to manage high volumes of surface water to deliver effective and efficient aquifer replenishment.
Its storage volume of up to 9,400 L enables engineers to deliver stormwater management projects that not only work today but which will also accommodate the more frequent and more extreme weather events associated with climate change, and its ability to reach depths as low as 36 m means that it will recharge even deep aquifers to preserve and improve critical water availability.
The MaxWell™ system provides valuable pre-treatment for the critical "first flush" phase of a precipitation event - its large settling chamber separates out sediment and other fine solids, the PureFlo™ debris shield and FloFast™ drainage screen capture trash and floatable debris, while an absorbent sponge captures and removes oils and hydrocarbons.
Taking up just 1.8 m diameter, its small footprint makes it ideal for urban and space-constrained applications, and with over 125,000 systems installed worldwide it is a uniquely proven and dependable stormwater management solution.
Recharge critical groundwater
Groundwater areas around the world are facing increased pressures due to population increases and the impacts of climate change.
MaxWell™ provides effective, reliable deep infiltration to recharge critical groundwater supplies and increase water availability. At depths of up to 36 m, it has the capacity to replenish even deep-lying aquifers.
Pre-treat your stormwater
The MaxWell™ screens, settling tanks and hydrocarbon absorption technologies ensure that oil, gross pollutants and sediment are removed from stormwater before infiltration begins.
Design for today, allow for tomorrow
The system's large-volume chambers mean that engineers can design to meet today's demand while providing capacity to accommodate the larger flows that result from more frequent and more intense storm events, while its small 1.8 m footprint means that contractors don't need to take more land to deliver future-proofed infiltration.

Stormwater initially enters the large-capacity collection chamber, where sediment and total suspended solids (TSS) settles out.
A floating absorbent pad captures any oils and hydrocarbons carried in the stormwater, while the PureFlo™ debris shield screens floating trash and gross pollutants.
Water passes through the PureFlo™ debris shield and into the overflow pipe, where it flows down as far as 36 m to the deep infiltration chamber, where the FloFast™ drainage screen returns the treated water to the surrounding soil to replenish local groundwater.
