Streamline septic sludge processing with integrated functions in one reliable unit.

Reduce maintenance requirements and protect downstream treatment processes with reliable screening, solids separation and grit removal at the point of receipt.

Noggerath® Septage and Grit Receiving Stations provide wastewater treatment operators with an efficient, automated solution for handling tanker-delivered septage, sewer cleanings and grit-laden waste streams.

Noggerath® Receiving Stations are designed for the controlled reception, screening and treatment of materials delivered to wastewater treatment works. Septage Receiving Stations remove screenings and solids from faecal sludge and industrial wastewater, while Grit Receiving Stations separate, wash and recover grit, sand and other inorganic materials collected during sewer cleaning operations.

Together, they help improve plant reliability, protect critical process equipment, reduce blockages and lower disposal costs by reducing waste volumes and enabling grit recovery.

Septage Receiving Stations

  • Blockage-free screenings discharge
  • Reliable operation and simplified maintenance
  • High throughput handling for large solids loads
  • Integrated screening, conveying, dewatering and compaction
  • Suitable for septage, faecal sludge and industrial wastewater reception

Grit Receiving Stations

  • Protects downstream treatment assets from wear, damage and blockages
  • Improves sewer network performance
  • Reduces disposal costs through grit washing and recovery
  • Supports reuse of cleaned grit and sand
  • Customisable to local operational requirements and site conditions

Septage Receiving Stations

Depending on the required capacity, septage is received and screened using either a spiral sieve, rotating bar screen or perforated drum screen. Solids are separated from the wastewater stream before being conveyed, washed, compacted and dewatered to significantly reduce their volume prior to disposal. In higher-capacity installations, heavy solids are removed by a perforated drum and discharged via an integrated wash press. This automated process ensures reliable solids removal while maintaining efficient flow to downstream treatment processes.

Grit Receiving Stations

Material delivered by suction vehicles, dump trucks or loaders is discharged into a receiving bunker before being transferred via clog-resistant spiral conveyors. The material passes through an automated drum screen where coarse solids are separated and washed. The wastewater then enters a grit washing system, where sand and grit are cleaned and separated from organic material. Optional fine screening can provide additional removal, compaction and dewatering of screenings before the mechanically treated flow is returned to the treatment process or sewer network.
